Outsourcing - Still becoming stronger than ever

IT Outsourcing that practically built few new generation cities in India is under scanner for a while now. Barak Obama had this issue as part of his election agenda and has over time taken tough postures on this. Still, this phenomenon refuses to stop and infact is growing. The forces driving IT outsourcing are undeniably compelling. Companies face intense pressure to reduce, or at least contain, IT costs. Years of downsizing have resulted in a shortage of skills and the need to improve service. Outsourcing frees companies to focus on core competencies, improve quality, and speed time-to-market.

Aside from rising attention about US jobs being shipped overseas, firms are spending increasingly more time, energy, and money on moving part or all of IT to external service providers. Growing pressure on IT budgets make US IT outsourcing a market that will continue to grow (it seems, though I am not a competent analyst on this topic).
.
Not only this, Companies are outsourcing applications also like never before, involving a variety of applications outsourcing service types as well as a broad range of suppliers. Enterprises are increasingly likely to make applications outsourcing a centerpiece of their outsourcing strategies. But the term applications outsourcing actually can refer to a variety of services, ranging from maintenance and enhancement to new development and composite offerings. The different services demand varying strategies and tactics and may entail different suppliers — and even different contractual and service-level agreement (SLA) structures.
.
Against all odds, outsourcing is here to stay as it is bringing mulitple benefits to US and Euroepean companies in particular and is helping in increasing jobs there. Strange, isn't it? Look at one simple reason: All outsourcing service provider companies are buying US computers which means more demand, more production and more people required for production. So jobs got created, right?
